The rA B-Fit B-Day Challenge ( The Only Entry Fee is Celebrating your B-Day! )

Take your age and in any order:

1) Swim the number of miles in the first number,
2) Run the number of miles in the second number,
3) Bike the number of miles in the combined number.

So a 45-year-old athlete would:
1) Swim 4 miles
2) Run 5 miles
3) Bike 45 miles

If you choose to accept the B-Fit B-Day Challenge you must....

Bronze: Do all three (swim/bike/run) during the week of your Birthday.
Silver: Do all three (swim/bike/run) in the three days before, after, or on your B-Day.
Gold: Do all three (swim/bike/run) in 24-hours to celebrate your B-Day!

Important Note: Since “0” Birthdays like 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, and so on are important milestones the "0" in your birthday represents a 10. This means that on those “0” Birthdays you get to celebrate this big milestone by running ten miles.

Donate Motivate Celebrate!

To help you conquer the Challenge we’ve added a Donation button to your B-Fit B-Day page as well at the B-Fit B-Day home page. This feature allows you to ask for Donations for taking on the Challenge. We’re suggesting a simple donation of one dollar per mile that you complete. You can use the money to help pay for a B-Fit birthday party, or donate some or all of it to charity.

We’ll do all of the accounting work for you. We’ll notify you when somebody donates money to your B-Fit B-Day Celebration and we’ll send the money to you, or the charity of your choice.

Finished the challenge!

Yesterday it was my birthday and I took the challenge of doing all 3 events within 24 hours on weekday when I had to work at least 6 hours. Other challenge of planning 4 miles swim, 9 miles run and 49 miles ride in Tucson in May is that it could be very hot so the hours available to do the run and ride become limited too. I will post a longer explanation about how my day went with pictures to illustrate the different venues I used. It is a great feeling to be done, it was a hard day and long day… Continue

I forgot....this challenge requires a swim

I heard about the challenge on the Ironmantalk Podcast one day and it sounded like something to keep me going through the month of May (my bday is May 29th). My priority race for the season is Ironman Arizona in late November so I thought this would be a great motivator this "early" in my season. I thought this would be a breeze...just another training day. Well, I took on a challenge to swim 50k for the month of May. Swimming is my weakness so I put a big focus there and have some people holdin… Continue
