If all goes as planned, by this time tomorrow, I will have completed the Gold challenge. If it doesn't go as planned, I will be laying in bed, full of Extra Strength Advil, trying to decide if I should finish it the following day. I think I like the first option better.
Tonight, I made sure my gear is ready to go. Bike is tuned up, new aero bars and bar tape installed. Looks fast (for a road bike). Water/gel bottles are clean, waiting to be filled in the morning. Ipod is being loaded with energy tunes. Swim gear is good to go.
My biggest of many fears right now is that due to my extended weekend away, followed up by three days of a really messed up work schedule, have completely ruined my diet lately. My times won't be anything special, as I will be taking it easy to make sure I don't bonk (or at least, don't bonk too early in the day). I have a feuling plan for the day, but having never completed a full day like this, I have no idea if my plan is adequate. Guess I will find out the hard way.
Off to bed now. Might throw a quick post up here in the morning before I start, have to see what time it is when I do roll out of bed. Night shifts kill my desire to get up in the morning.
