Swim, Bike, and Run your Age!
If Not Now, When?

I really would rather knock this out in one day and be done with it, but unfortunately I really can't take the day off right now. So, I am settling for Silver and still struggling to work it all in. I will have to schedule the vacation day next year.

The Plan as it stands now (weather could be a big factor):

April 10 (The real birthday) I am tackling the swim first. There is an open swim from 7-9 at the pool in the morning, which works out fine because I have to be in court by 10:00. Hopefully I can get about 2/3 of the swim done in the 1st session. If everything goes well in court I should be back at a different pool by 11:00 to finish the swim. If I am ambitious I can do the 6 mile run that evening.

April 11 - Not sure that I have any time to do anything, but if need be I can get up at 0' dark one hundred and do my run before I head off to a morning of work. That afternoon I am traveling with my family to Cleveland (actually Mentor) for a Rugby Tourny (my oldest daughter plays Rugby) and college visitations.

April 12 - I grew up near Cleveland, Ohio and since we will be near my old homestead on Satruday, I am planning on biking around Cleveland/Mentor/Painesville. The problem is the forecast is for 43 degrees and some wetness. I guess I will have to work with this. I really do not want to have to go indoors for the bike. As long as it is not pouring I will give it a go outside.

Hi Kevin, I hope you didn't have to go to court for speeding in the pool ;-)

Good job and finish strong!

Quick Update (won't be able to load videos until next week)
As fate would have it, yesterday was a beautiful day here in Rochester and I headed inside to swim. All in all it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I got to the pool early and in just a little under two hours 1:45 (including two tinkletorium breaks and a lot adjusting of my goggles) I was able to get 3 miles in. Zoomed off to court and was back in a different pool (court break was about 2.5 hours) to finish my last mile, which took me 37 minutes. If there was such thing as a walking pace while swimming I certainly found it during the last mile. It was nice that the 2nd pool was much cooler - it cooled down my overheated and sore shoulders. I am doing my 6 miles around 2:30 today, and will probably have 45 degrees and some rain to deal with. Too bad I couldn't have done everything yesterday, because it was a beautiful day (just fate getting back at me for spreading this thing out over 3 days).

Sounds like a solid plan.
