Here's the plan.
I will begin swimming at 5:00 AM on Saturday Feb. 9th at my local pool. There will be an official lap counter and timer on deck.
At 8:30 I will meet with my local triathlon club in Celina, Texas and ride two loops of a 24.66 mile course. I will use my computer to keep time and measure 47 miles. Once I reach 47 miles I will stop my watch and record the time.

Jakey Bakey, my son, pulled off a Gold Challenge today!
Dedicating your efforts to your friend's daughter and raising money for cancer is incredible. Makes my motives--staying sane, having fun, being healthy--seem a little petty in comparison. I've done my time volunteering and caretaking in cancer wards, though (thus the need to exercise for sanity :-) ). Anyway, congrats on the great effort, happy birthday, and thanks for the inspiration to take fitness and serve others.
Only with a lot of help from my tribuddies and two new swim-padnahs was I able to complete the raceAthlete B-Fit B-Day Challenge... in one morning.
The swim 4 miles, the bike 47 miles, and the run 7 miles.
I will add more to the report after putting my feet up and downing a desert the size of head. Until then here are the results:
Swim 4 miles completed in 2:37:23
Bike 47 miles completed in 2:34:08
Run 7 miles completed in 1:06:51
Check back later today for the details.
Stay tuned...
