Swim, Bike, and Run your Age!
If Not Now, When?

Got her done on my b-day on Sunday/Monday. I wanted to do it all on Sunday, but my pool only had a one hour lane swim block so I had to finish the swim on Monday in the AM. Still under 24hrs.

Now the real shame about this is that all of the nice pics my wife took went out the window when her camera fell out of her jersey pocket when she hit a pot hole on a fast decent. Destroyed the freaking thing and we seem to have lost what was on the memory card as well. Still have some pics of the rest of my day though!

9:00am. Went for a 31mile ride with the missus. Great weather. We cruised through it in just under 2hrs. Leisurely due mostly to the fact we competed in an 8hr MTB relay the day before. Got home just in time to pack some food into my mouth and head off to the pool.

12:00-1:00. Pushed pretty hard to try and get as many meters in as possible. I managed to put in 3500m just as they were pulling the lane markers. So 3500m in one hour. Went back to the pool at 7:00 am this morning to complete the milage. Ended up doing 2600m in 45min.. A little more than I need, but I wasn't going to travel to the pool to swim only 1000m.

After the swim on Sunday I drove home and quickly got changed to head out for my run. I only needed to do one mile, but did 5km instead. I was joined in this by my trusty running buddy Kaya (dog) We cruised through this in 25min. Feeling good!

I was very happy with this today, and it set the tone for a great b-fit-bday.

After all of this being fit we headed up to Collingwood Ontario to take part in an annual event for us, the Elvis festival! It isn't really as much about Elvis (I could really care less about the guy) but more of an excuse to get up there to visit friends and have a great party!

The pictures I have here are of the events. The outfit I am wearing in these pics was also (mostly) what I was wearing when I was cycling with my wife. In honour of Elvis fest I was dubbed "IronElvis!" The cap and the sideburns where the special touch. Unfortunately the sideburns had to be reapplied after the bike and run (do to the fact that they ran!:>)
