Swim, Bike, and Run your Age!
If Not Now, When?

Gotta say....swimming 3 miles is not that fun in a pool. Get that out there. Off my chest. Good. I'm sooooooo glad I'm not in my 40's or 50's. When I get there....NO GOLD CHALLENGE FOR ME!!! :)

The results for my 35th birthday...

Swim: 2:06
Bike: 1:56 (18mph avg)
Run: 41.12 (8:10-ish)

Swim went okay...really dragged at the end. Pool swim, 102 laps. Not really much to say. Took a short break at 2 miles because I was pretty thirsty. Finished the final 34 laps. Got out and drove over for my bike ride.

The wind today was pretty strong. I did a 25 out 10 back, because the runners in my group were moving along well. The 25 out was rough, as it was into a headwind. The 10 back was great. Averaged 18 on the nose.

The run was into the headwind, but felt pretty good. My overall average was slow because the first mile was with a group of slow runners. The last 4 were all under 8 min/miles, which gave me an average mile of 8:10-ish...I'm guessing.

Pretty fun little excursion. No pics unfortunately. I will have some running pics from the Torch Run, but at 0530, I had no one to take pics....and I forgot it anyway.

Whose next? :)

Congrats on your Gold finish and Happy Birthday! I did my 35th bday challenge in Feb and I felt the same about the pool swim.
