Swim, Bike, and Run your Age!
If Not Now, When?

My boy, Jakey Bakey, kicked some serious B-Fit B-Day butt today. I'd blogged about it before and Jakey decided to take the challenge for his birthday.

Being he only has 1 digit, we scratched out a plan for him to compete:

Swim 9 laps
Bike 9 miles
Run 9 laps (ran 2.25 miles)

Because the weather wasn't so good, Jakey did his tri indoors. Pool, stat bike and treadmill run. He did great! He ran faster last year, but I think he'll get into better shape once soccer kicks back up.

Once the triathlon was over, Trudy, our local triathlon race director presented him with a medal for completing it! Jakey was pumped!

Took the kids to Dairy Queen to celebrate Jakey's triathlon.

Here are Jakey's numbers:
Swim: 16:47
Bike: 39:13
Run: 29:21

That is so cool that your son did this.

It will certainly inspire my son in May to go for gold.

Thanks for Sharing!

I'll add Jake to the official record page today.

Hey TriDummy... I think we, the members of BDay BFit, that achieve Gold should post a "back before the water" photo just like Jackey's. It will be our pictoral salute to all those who take the challenge. What do you think?
